I’m a scientist and as much as I’d like to think that scientists are pure seekers of the truth this is clearly not the case.

Consider a PhD or professor with many years and a career invested in trying to prove something. Their whole lives, ego and credibility are at stake. The last thing that they would want is someone to wipe out their research.

This is of course made worse by fundings and grants being linked to climate change. They’re under extreme pressure to keep these funding sources alive. It does not take much to push these folk over the edge to where they’re becoming fraudulent.

It is easy to put scientists up on a pedestal, but ultimately they’re just human like anyone else and don’t want to lose their jobs and status.

Five billion years ago, the earth was a burning mass. Life was non-existant. We’ve come a long way since then. For anyone to suggest that man can alter the earth in any significant way in our lifetime should not be trusted with analysis of any kind. Nature, through volcanos, earthquakes, floods, and droughts can inflict a million times more damage than man could begin to cause.

What is even more apparent is that this news story which provides evidence that man-made global warming is a hoax is being suppressed by most media outlets.

The implications for “science” are vast and ominously profound. What else are so-called scientists working on that is managed and biased? Can we trust “scientists” to hew objective scientific principles in: collecting data, subjecting same to rigorous analyzes, and reporting the results in scientifically honest ways (of course free of any political, religious, or other influences). All of these basic principles seem violated with the revelations coming to light as we speak.

What other areas of “science” are corrupt? When we cannot trust “science” we are doomed because civilization will not be possible.

This is soooooo rich! I have professed for over a decade that “global warming” was a pathetic hoax. It is nothing more than a ploy by the likes of Harry Reid and Barney Frank to move capital from the private sector (ie.: tax) to the public sector .

To the point, I AM a scientist(B.S., biological sciences,1970; M.S.,plant and soil science, 1986), and my thesis on soil chemistry went thru rigorous review and statistical analysis), so I know how scientific research works. I have always been skeptical of the so-called “science” attached to global warming. These revelations do not surprise me. But when I found out on a program on the History Channel that the pre-industrial revolution levels of CO2 were based on microbubble air samples from Antarctica ice cores, the bottom fell out of their argument. SAMPLE SIZE! I find the whole thing to be politically-motivated, not based on REAL hard science.

I found out about this article through an e-mail list. I tried searching for it, and had to use remarkably esoteric criteria. Too many livelihoods depend upon the ridiculous idiocy spouted by global warming asshats to expect credibility, as funding is directly tied to perception of crisis. Hell, I should set up shop as a “scientist” myself and apply for funding to research the impending universe-eating goat that’ll come to destroy us all if we don’t recycle aluminum – any load of tripe that’ll let a politician spoon feed doom to morons.

Those y2k f00bs had a lot more style.

It seems to me that when I was in grade school someone dug up some plants & things in antartica that were from a warmer past Is It global warming or are we returning to the original normal? I guess that Ill have the answer in a couple thousand years
