Yep, Michelle, Global Warming is a hoax, sure…….Why can’t you conservative windbags get around the fact that this IS NOT a poltical issue?? In the past few years in the US, we have witnessed a Tsunami that virtually wiped out a city , fires that are destroying much of the West Coast, a record number of Tornadoes and devastating Hurricanes, and let’s not forget a heat unlike anything I’ve ever felt in my 43 years. Here in Kansas City, the temperature has been over 90 degrees for much of the past two months and we are going to begin a week of triple-digit teperatures starting Sunday. Something IS wrong here.

WAKE UP, you mindless, short-sighted, Fox-News watching lemmings! You’ve already punished the US by electing that illiterate, bumbling, spoiled little frat boy, who has turned us from the envy of the world, into the enemy of the world. Global Warming is a FACT and if you don’t believe Al Gore, a man with several times the intellect of Dubya (or yourselves), than just take a step outside anywhere in the US this week. A bit warm, isn’t it? You ALL are too far behind on this issue due to your stupidity, which is caused by the fact that you believe anything fools like Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter or that pill-popping hypocrite Rush Limbaugh says about the issue without an ounce of research. Anyone in this country should feel sorry for you all, but you idiots don’t deserve it……

Really its not a political issue. Thats not what most democrats would have us beleive. I dont look at it as a political issue.(and for your information i dont watch fox news and i didnt vote for dubya, which is impossible according to you.) But i am a scientist. What i take issue with is the poor data taking and extrapolation that these so called climatologists have done. Many times they say longterm models indicate… well let me tell you long term models are bullshit. Real meteoroligist cant predict the weather past 10 days. And to your 90 degree temperatures. Get real, its summer you moron. If you would have watched the news you would know why it is hot this week. And one week of incidence is not enough information to extrapolate centuries of data. And i want you to remember that in the late 1800’s all the way through the 1940’s, there was a “scientific consensus” that blacks were genetically inferior, and psychologicy unable to learn pas a elementary school level. People need to get real and stop being sheep to the GLOBAL WARMING media(that includes Al Gore).

All that being said, i pose a question to the people who also beleive Global warming is a hoax. Why not “go green.” Economiclay atleast for the regualar american family it is very desirable. YOu wil cut fuel costs, and energy bills significantly.

My kids both play ball and all the parents could not believe how comfortable it was watching this year.
It finally has warmed up this week.

Just thought I would let you know that the Climate Audit website is down (at this time). The owner of this site is the one that discovered the problem with the NASA data. My rant on global warming!

I myself do not believe this “GLOBAL WARMING” hoax. This is just another way to scare the public into paying taxes. I’m from Canada and I here both sides of the story on the news and talk radio, internet etc… I may not be the most educated person but to me its a bunch of crap. In north America, were not set up like Europe or other countries that people can get around thier close knit communities without having to use thier cars to get every place they need to go, for instance food shopping and other ammenities. For GOD
SAKES, we are comming out of a ice age still. There used to be troppical follage in the areas where the ice caps are. And somthing else, the sun is heating up which is heating the other planets. So for those people out there that are allways saying its getting to hot it must be global warming or there is to many tornados or tropical storms it must be global warming give your head a shake. RELAX and open your “clouded” over eyes. I live in central Alberta and we really only get maybe 2 months out of the year that are warm. That does not sound like global warming to me. And if we have a month in the winter that the temperature is ten to fifteen degrees warmer than the normal temp big deal. The earth goes through cycles as does the sun. I have no problem with the idea of cutting back, and being more energy efficient. But what really bugs me is when a better way of fueling cars or making things, buildings and other applications run better their is allways a group of people or a government saying no to the idea. Another thing that bothers me is the David Sezukies ( not sure of spelling) and AL Gores of the world will not take questions on the subject of global warming??????? What does that mean are they lying to us. Does’nt that make you wonder just a little ?? There are scientists that are giving invitations to these guys to debate the subject of global warming, and they don’t take it. David is a journalist that I really liked to watch on tv. I have lost some respect for him. Then we have AL BLOODY GORE!!!!! who gets in his jet flies up here to canada, dumps all that “CO2″ into the atmosphere and gets paid, what 200 Gs a gig to tell people a lot of exagerated crap that does’nt make whole lot of anything, stay home GORE. I think he’s figured out how to make a lot of money and by the way his film is a joke!!!!!!!!! What. Can’t he use the media to get his mesage across. Why I thought the idea was to cut down on the Co2s. big joke. This whole thing ” GLOBAL WARMING will be a thing of the past like acid rain, Y2K, etc. And all you tree huggers, hippies whatever your called that are all on side fore this crap just climb back up your trees or into your so called enviromentaly safe nickle cadium powered cars which are worse than regular vehicles on the environment and go to another planet, because you know chicken little is saying the sky is falling!!!!

Keef, I assume you are referring to the Tsunami that hit Crescent City? That was minor compared to the one that hit the same spot in 1964 – no deaths vs 122 in 1964, $700,000 in 2006 dollars vs over $7 million in 1964 dollars. I used to live in Crescent City, there are still boats and anchors along the 101, well inland of the shore.

But that’s not the point…. the real question is what this has to do with global warming, as it was caused by a 8.1 earthquake off of Japan, in the Ring of Fire, an area historically known for great seismic activity. Blaming this on global warming is exactly the kind of alarmism that takes this out of the realm of science and into the the realm of junk science, fear mongering, and yes, politics.

Something to realize about a “record number of tornados”, the correct statement would be a “record number of observed tornados”. Previously remote areas areas are populated more now than ever, and even where there isn’t a trailer park for one to hit, doppler radar has allowed us to detect tornados that would previously never have been recorded. But even given that, if we take a look at the tornado records you’ll find what you are saying is not true:

In fact, here’s a record set this last year: “Before the Greensburg EF5 tornado on May 4, 2007, it had been 8 years and one day since the US has had a confirmed F5 or EF5 tornado. The last confirmed F5 or EF5 hit southern Oklahoma City and surrounding communities during the May 3, 1999 event”.

As for the West Coast burning down, I’ve lived here for most of my 39 years, mostly in southern california, and it’s an accepted norm that we get hit by firestorms every 2-3 years. The only difference now is that more and more people are building houses in mountainous suburbs, so there is a lot more property damage potential than ever before.

Sorry, not all things can be blaimed on global warming,

Just as usual the liberals in the crowd can’t have a reasoned discussion of the topic. Note the typical name-calling and inflammatory language. Science requires proof of hypothesis with no conflicting data and especially no ignoring facts. The man-made global warming crowd cannot prove, through the scientific method, that there is global warming, much less man-made global warming.
